Instant UPGRADE P on AA HELP PLEASE

I am on phone with qantas and they are telling me P is not a FIRST class earning class??

BUT on here Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Terms & Conditions it says it is..... i am about to book some tickets what is going on??

Why are you talking with Qantas?

If the booking class on AA is "P" then you "should" receive First Class SCs.

Qantas customer care staff would be confusing "P" class on Qantas which only earns First Class SCs if booked as part of an Any Seat Award.

Should not be an issue getting First Class SCs unless there are drastic changes in the near future.

Personally I would not involve Qantas customer care staff.

Back living in Melbourne for a while and all my ff points and credits are qantas.

going back only for 2 week in oct

also all my good credit cards are aussie as well

thanks mate yeah the fare basis code i got off the AU and USA site was KR7UPPMN the only thing that had me worried was the MN at the end as MN on qantas site say discount econ....??
