Insurance company for Velocity rewards?

I need to insure a private vehicle.

I think there used to be a link between ING Insurance and Velocity.

Anybody know if this arrangement still exists?

Suggestions for accruing points while buying insurance (ideally with Amex) are much appreciated.

I think the only current car insurance partner is Virgin Money.

I got a quote a while back: $861 with Virgin Money. When I took the same details to Bingle, it came out at $600 with pay-by-the-month. No surprise what I chose.

I too, saw no advantage in Virgin insurances.
