Just tried to book with Hilton two interconnecting rooms at the Sydney Hilton for a family weekend away (2 adults and 2 kids- 1 room paid and 1 on points, I'm diamond FWIW in this instance).
I was advised by the reservations operator that interconnecting rooms could only be confirmed by the hotel at the time of check in and that this was strictly enforced by the hotel and a Hilton group policy. I decided not to proceed with the booking as the risk of non connecting rooms would ruin the weekend away.
Apologies if this has been coved elsewhere but nothing came up on the search. Has anyone been able to pre-confirm interconnecting rooms at the Sydney Hilton (or other Hilton properties for that matter given the comment on group policy) and if so any advice as to how I might try again
