Hi All,

Hoping someone can help, I'm sick of waiting for someone at Qantas to answer the phone.

I've managed to get a Classic Award return business flight from Christchurch to Thailand at the end of May. It's my 50th b'day so I've been saving my airpoints in anticipation. All very exciting as I am a business virgin, although a little alarmed to read the reviews of the slanted skybed. Oh well it's a daytime flight, as long as there is champagne...

The thing is that my mother and 2 twentysomething kids are tagging along in economy (poor babies). I understand I am permitted to take 1 guest to the international business lounge (my mother) with me. Am I able to buy casual passes to the lounge for the 2 twentysomethings?

QF do not offer single use passes.

They do give out these passes when you hit silver, but they do not sell them.

If you post your flight details in the relevant monthly thread, someone may be able to guest you, or you do have the option of buying either QP membership for your mum, or chancing your luck with QP passes off ebay

I did think about the air points reference but I think that may be a moot point as it does seem a possible QF routing.

The references to "Skybed", "classic award", "International Business Lounge" and "Qantas" would suggest Qantas, I'd say...

You won't get access for the kids I am afraid, however if you post our times in the lounge thread, there is often another AFF member who can help out if they are traveling that day.
