Hi. I had some flights booked by a company (overseas) for work and I have been on to the Qantas website to connect them to my FF no.
A couple of things I am not sure about. One is a flight operated by Jetstar, but has a QF code. Does that mean meals, luggage are included - I can't see any option to purchase them in advance.
I could reserve seats on the QF legs, domestic and international. I wasn't asked to pay $20 to reserve a seat on the international leg that is a real Q flight, it just seemed that I could go and choose it (although I am not complaining!). There is no option (paid or unpaid) to choose a seat on the Q flight that is operated by Jetstar - is there a way to do it? BTW, I have no status - bronze Q FF, and it's all economy travel. Thanks.

Hi Ethelred,
am no expert here but noticed it was your first post so thought I would say hello at least!
It seems very strange to me that as a QFF bronze you are able to do advance seat selection on your economy QF flights!? And re baggage, options to purchase rights, etc with the Jetstar leg, have you got onto the Jetstar website itself and checked your flights there?

Welcome ethelred,

From my limited experience with JQ I ended up having to give JQ a call directly. QF and JQ systems do not talk to each other (You will notice it's a common complaint on the forum).

Even though it's a QF flight number made with QF, because they have put you onto JQ, you will have JQ service (or everything for a price)... You will most likely need to purchase such things from JQ directly...

Basically, if it is an international Jetstar flight, you should get the meals, if it is a domestic or Trans-Tasman Jetstar flight, then you won't.

Baggage allowance should be shown on your eTicket receipt.

There is some variation on things, so really one needs to know which sector it is to properly answer the question!

Thanks for all of your replies. It is NRT to CNS. I guess I will try contacting Jetstar direct to find out.
