Okay, well travelled domestically, but a rookie when it comes to international.

Flying MQL - SYD tomorrow morning ... arrive 8:40 AM ... and then on to QF145 to AKL at 11:10 AM.

1. I'm assuming that upon checking in at MQL - my bag will be checked all the way through to AKL ... there is no collect and re-check required in SYD, even with the separate terminal scenario?

2. If point 1. is correct, then what is the frequency of the seamless terminal transfer bus from Gate 15?

Thanks

1. Correct
2. Maximum of 30 mins (on hour and half hour), but can be more frequent in the morning.

Maybe too late for OP, as probably asleep by now, but if he/she sees this, or for others:
You will show passport to QF staff at Mildura, and so, no need to go to staff at SYD T1.
You should be given BP for the 2 trips, at your point of QFd first dep, then you will need to show the 2nd one for the BP to be scanned at gate 15 SYD T3, where the bus from T3 will take you to T1.
The trip across can be quite fast, as the QF bus uses their own road, inside of the airport grounds.
At T1, no need to approach staff, go up the escalators from the bus drop off point, and its about 1.5 storeys up, quite steep.
Go straight through immi and outgoing sec.
