Hi I have been lurking for a time but have decided to post as I am a Perthite. I and the rest of WA have been let down by QF as they have deserted us with their International flights.
I cannot upgrade a flight to London as QF does not fly any metal from Perth to O/S. Checked points to London economy and I have to fly back via Melbourne. I suppose if you wanted to book a business using points you would have to book about a year ahead.
I am still baseline with both DJ & QF even though I fly to both Sydney and Melbourne (as I have kids there) and an International every year. DJ have cheaper fares, indifferent staff (all except 2 in the last 4 years), no Gluten free meals or entertainment (I Pad screen went blank when I pressed the movie I wanted to watch; but I could see the map and view the movie choice an hour later) and QF has more expensive fares, more experienced and courteous staff and a full service. So we usually go DJ to the East coast and QF back. Not conducive to gaining points or status with either I know.
Any ideas anyone?
