Just a post to say hello and get rid of the reminder message!
I fly a lot for work and as much as I can for pleasure.
Mainly with QF although work has recently done a deal with VA.
Currently Gold in both QFF and Velocity.
Need 160 more SCs to make Platinum with QFF.
Keen for suggestions on the cheapest (cash not points) way to earn them before I head to Europe in mid-August.
I'm eager to try the first class lounges in Sydney and Dubai on that trip!

Thanks Limewood. I've added the two cities I'm most often based in. Thanks for the suggestion.
I do tend to move around a bit, though.

It make sit easier to reply to some posts once travellers location is known, I've wondered over the years why this isn't mandatory when signing up, its not an address.

Welcome to AFF esseeeayeenn!

You should be able to get those 160 SCs for ~$1000. ADL-MEL-SYD return in economy with a SYD-AKL return in business on LAN in between. Unfortunately you'll need a couple of overnight hotel stays.

Thanks JohnK I was looking at something similar. Then I spotted another post on discount J class fares PER-SIN. None available at that price on the QF website but I booked through a third party. PER-SIN-PER for just over $1000. I haven't been to Singapore for a very long time, and it's the perfect place for a weekend visit!
