As a frequent traveller i am continuosly amused by the lack of corelation between the height of the Kettle and or Iron and the depth of the basin from which one is to fill the damn things

How difficult would it be for Hotelliers to test to see the equipment they buy or the Basins install all work together, Sighhhhhhhhhhhh Oh and can we have mugs please not thimbles for that all important morning cuppa :D

More than once I have had to fill the kettle from the bath. If no bath, the other way is to use a glass to 'bail' water from the hand basin into the kettle (a righ royal PITA!).

As for the iron; the glass is generally needed - although in some establishments the little plastic decant jug has been provided.
