Hey all

I made Platinum after my last stay and have not stayed away since.

My question is - is breakfast complimentary if you have access to an Executive Lounge via Platinum membership, even if the room booked is not an executive floor room i.e. a standard room.

Chasing 3 seperate bookings in November and was wondering if I should not worry about booking a room with breakfast if Breakfast may already be included. Sounds a bit too good, but hey, there should be some perks for Platinum members.

I am looking at hotels with Exec lounges, Sofitel BKK, Pullman DXB, Novotel HKG.

Thanks all

BTW does anyone know when the next good special of 40/50% off is due?

I don't know about hotels in Australia but in Asia I always book without breakfast and dine in the main breakfast area or in the club lounge. If it's not complimentary I will eat outside of the hotel.

Centrally if there is an executive lounge ... And it's open ... a light breakfast will be available

As a general rule for all hotels (with the odd exception, like any rule!), if you have exec lounge access benefits, there will be some sort of basic breakfast worldwide in the lounge.

But- you cannot count on being allowed into the main restaurant breakfast if you have exec lounge access.

Then you drop to more chain or location specific rules, but these have even more exceptions. Within SE Asia, if you have exec lounge you have good odds of being allowed into the main restaurant.

If you book a Club room at the Sofitel Sydney can you have breakfast in the main restaurant free of charge or do you have to go to the exec lounge for breakfast?

We booked Club room at brisbane Sofitel and were offered breakfast downstairs as we had children in tow. Not sure under other circumstances. We ended up doing both and I preferred the lounge breakfast.

Stayed at Pullman Albert Park again last week and yet again the Exec Lounge was closed...is it ever open nowadays?

Had complementary breakfast @ restaurant downstairs....wasn't offered but I knew from past experience it was available.

I thought I read some policy somewhere that when kids are in tow there is a choice of Exec Lounge or the restaurant. Not sure how widespread that is.

Not good to hear as we're staying on Friday...

I have booked 2 rooms in Pullman Sydney, in my name - for us and 2 friends. I'm platinum and wondered if both rooms get all the privileges? Can anyone advise please?
