It's the same right through past September. Last week I eventually managed to book 2 x CDG-LHR-SIN with BA in J (with the horrible 787 yin/yang biz seating), but I could only get as far as Singapore. There is absolutely zero CR availability for direct flights between SIN-MEL. I don't even think BA do that route anymore. It's all via Sydney.

Cathay have a nice route with good times from CDG direct to HKG, then onto MEL direct, but I haven't found a single CR seat for the whole year. There are other options to fly via Tokyo with JA, but the layovers and points required are enormous.

Just keep trying I guess...

I managed to book Syd-Sin-LHR-Pisa. With BA for Aug 5 next year..first leg is Y, then J to Pisa…not exactly what I wanted..but as a NB I took what I could I get, and I live in Melbourne…hahahaha
As for the Ying Yang seating in BA I’m hoping it has been phased out by August, have flown it once….very strange….
Coming back could only get to Sin with BA in J…next leg after still to be determined…
There was some Air France availability at one point but I missed it…

Premium BA feels like such a waste of points, pains me to say that as a Pom but I have been screwed by them before to the point i'll never trust them again.

Before Covid CX frequently released more award seats closer to flight date, it's hard to say if that will continue. CX aren't flying all their Euro routes and frequencies yet either. It's possible when they open up more routes and increase frequency they will release more seats. Of course, this is just conjecture at this stage.
