Greetings,

I have booked a few red e-deal flights recently and each time rows 4 and 5 have been locked out until T-80.

Obviously when I was SG 4&5 were locked out until T-80 but when I got WP this feature disappeared.

Only I normally fly on a Flexi Fare and then upgrade. Is there a difference between that and a Red e-deal in terms of seating?

It's blocked for higher status pax, don't believe fare basis is a consideration.

They do get allocated before T-80 but you'll generally need to be CL or ÜW/PO/P1 to access 'em before then..

Using On E/F I have been able to confirm this.

For Qantas domestic 73H flights the first two rows in economy (and the first row in Business) are blocked from WP until then.

On a domestic routes 737s have rows 4&5 blocked for platinums prior to T80. From what I understand higher status than platinum can select these rows.

On international routes 737s have rows 4&5 available for selection for platinums prior to T-80. Although the exit row seats are blocked even after T80 unless of course you pay for them.

Generally cannot get row 4/5 on a 737 and row 23/24 on a 767 until T-80 hours.

I have had row 4 pre-allocated before T-80 hours when I have had issues trying to pre-allocate seat and customer service agent had pre-allocated me row 4.
