Is there a true last minute accommodation deals website still?

Hi,

When they first started out websites like Wotif, lastminute, needitnow etc all only dealt with accommodation during the next 14 days max and Hotels truly put their last minute inventory up at special prices. Now these websites have just become general booking sites and don't seem to have last minute specials at all.

Is there a website out there that truly deals in last minute inventory? Interested in Australia at the moment but overseas ones I will bookmark for later.

Hotel Tonight is close to what you're after in app form, but they only show a curated set of hotels. https://www.hoteltonight.com/

I don't know of any other room clearance sites left. I think most hotels these days are fairly well booked and don't require them, or chose to let them go to wastage to stop people booking last minute.

Some hotels will reduce their prices close to the date if bookings are weak. But I'm not aware of any sites that specifically display deep discount last minute hotel rates.

+1 for Hotel Tonight. As Mal points out, it's only a smallish selection of hotels but they've served me very well - particularly in the LOTFAP

Got some good deals on my recent driving trip by a quick look at sites for guide to price and then just walking in. Usually got $10 - $20 better.
All booked on the spot for that night.
