Is this a record for QF refunding classic award points??

Cancelled classic award flights that were booked in Dads (WP) acct 30 min ago. Points have already come back! and then the 5,000 fee has been taken out as well! On a separate booking in Mum's acct (NB) which was cancelled a few min later still waiting... No doubt her points will take a lot longer to credit! Not sure about the CC fees as it was on Mums card but will get her to check tonight..

Must be a slow day in the QANTAS office if they can do it that quick?!? As i seem to have read many people waiting weeks at a time for their points to come back..

(Bookings were cancelled online)

Anyone else had it this quick??

I cancelled a classic award online on Wednesday, with the intention of booking another award once I got the points back. As I was keen to make the booking I called QF Friday afternoon to ask if I might be able to put a rush on the refund of my points so I could book before the weekend, I was put on hold for a few minutes and they came back and informed me that the points would be back in my account in about ten minutes, which they indeed were. So it appears that if you need them back quickly, this can be done.

QFF points from a classic award are refunded relatively quickly. It is the taxes and surcharges that can take up to a week and sometimes longer as had been reported on AFF....
