Wonderful little video...thanks for posting. Gotta say it makes 'Bling Air' (aka EK) look quite enticing. His view of the engines from 4A surprised me a little..I would have thought he was a bit further forward than that, suppose I'll have to snag 4A on a flight myself and check it out. :)

Edit: Now that I watch it again, the external view of the aircraft makes it obvious that he can see the engines from 4A.

Call me odd, but the whole report was ruined for me when he failed to hold the wine glass by the stem.

:p

Sounds uncouth to me; doesn't sound like a man whose name I would bear. ;)

(Also could not be bothered watching videos. :p)

:p

I did (really!) notice that too. Had to wander off and double check exactly the origins of the word stemware. Still, the way we (well, me at least ) tend to chuck it down in F, probably not much time for the wine to get warm! ;)

Does anyone else think it's rude to film other passengers on a plane?
I'm sure I saw some dirty looks aimed at the camera as he toured the plane.

I know it's a public place and all, just feels wrong to me.

It takes some cojones to do it. I don't think I could, at least not openly.

Loved it :D

EK First trip on video

News.com.au have picked up on a viral trip report video:

IT'S the side of flying most passengers never get to see - rich travellers sipping champagne and putting their feet up in first class while the rest of us slum it and endure cramped seats and bland meals. But now you can get a sneak peek into what it’s really like to travel in luxury with a video posted onto YouTube.
The video shows US traveller Kris Trexler taking advantage of everything on offer – and with a first class flight often costing thousands of dollars, it’s no wonder.

Re: EK First trip on video

Also it is on one of the cheapest routes (BKK-HKG) for full international first class at about AU$620 for the 3 hour trip. So quite affordable for a lot of people.

That'll be quite a status run if the code sharing happens

Or maybe not, now that I've actually looked at the distance, would only be 90 on QF.

Re: EK First trip on video

If thats a $650.00 flight then I am off to BK just for the ride, this has runined every (long Haul) flight for me from now on Boo Hoo :(

is there a QF video to compare?
