Hi, just last week I was investigating a OW RTW itinerary using points and was able to construct an itinerary of SYD-LAX-JFK-MAD-GYE-SYD using the website. When I returned to the site yesterday there was no longer an option to select GYE (Guayaquil, Ecuador).

Any ideas why it is no longer possible to select cities such as Quito, Guayaquil, Lima etc. using the QF website? I regularly fly to and within sth america (especially Ecuador) and I find it an inconvenience that I have to use the call centre, and accordingly pay extra fees, to book or use my points on a OW carrier.

Another question, does anyone know if it is possible to book an award itinerary that commences in sth america using the web? And if not why not? Even an award ticket starting in SCL or EZE cant be done online. I've only ever been able to do it over the phone.

Thanks!

Is SYD-LAX-JFK-MAD-GYE-SYD a valid RTW itinerary? I would have thought it would violate the "continuous-westerly" or "continuous-easterly direction" rule.

Oneworld award doesn't have to be in a continuous direction. Only a *ONE*, e.g. DONE4.

Not even that for an XONEx, only direction rule is that you must travel between each "Tariff Conference" in the one direction, either East to West only or West to East only.

e.g. If travelling TC1-TC2 then you must subsequently travel TC2-TC3-TC1. (Or, for the other way, if TC3-TC2 then TC2-TC1-TC3 must follow).
