I'm hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. I have a (not very often used) QFF account and Uber account, will be using both during an upcoming trip and found I can link them to earn QFF points for airport trips.

Tried via the relevant page on the Qantas website, went through all the prompts, but it then tells me the accounts are already linked. I don't recall ever doing this, and there doesn't seem to be anywhere I can actually check that they're linked?

Qantas and Uber help/FAQs recommend trying the app instead if any problems. Went through the Qantas app, completed all the required details and "the accounts couldn't be linked as this (Uber) account is already linked to a different QFF account". Er ... I've never had another QFF account, and Mr J has never had one so it can't be linked to his - and again, there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the Qantas or Uber apps that actually shows whether the accounts are linked. Does anyone here know if this can be found somewhere?

I've sent a message off to Uber, but goodness knows how long it might take for a response.
TIA

Thinking back I'm pretty sure there's no UI that actually tells you whether they're linked or not. I just recall clicking the Uber button in the Qantas App, and it opened the Uber App automatically and probably linked it there and then.

Thanks for looking - I haven't been able to find anything anywhere that shows it.

You can try submitting a help request via the Uber app - to delink the Uber<>Qantas account.
Then try to re-link again via the Qantas app.
When it is operational - the Qantas app will launch into the uber app - to book an uber trip. If it isnt working - it just loops back to the Qantas app home screen.
Hope this helps.
Yes, I submitted a help request on Monday through the Uber app, seems to be the only option - they replied saying it had been escalated to the relevant team, but haven't heard anything further yet. If I go into the Uber app via the Qantas app, it just takes me to the page to link the two, so definitely not working!

I had a similar issue until recently. I have updated both my Qantas and Uber apps (on iOS) and tried to relink and it looks like the latest versions of the apps have resolved this issue. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your post, I'm glad you were able to get your accounts linked.

I've finally managed to do it too, but via a desktop PC. I never heard anything back from Uber, so I decided to have another try at it recently through the Qantas and Uber websites, and much to my surprise it worked! Obviously not related to app updates as it was via the websites, so I assume Uber possibly may have "fixed" something but didn't let me know?

I have the same porblem and have received a useless reply from Uber but cannot see where it is possible to do anything on either of the websites. Could you share how you fixed it please.

My apologies - I saw your post the other day, then forgot to come back and answer it.

Unfortunately, I didn't actually "fix" it. I never got a reply back from Uber - despite the messages I was getting telling me that the accounts were linked, this obviously wasn't the case as I took two Ubers in CBR which should have qualified for QFF points, but nothing came up on my account.

It was about two months after I'd first emailed Uber about the problem that I decided to try linking the accounts again. I went through the Qantas website (NOT the app), logged into my account and went to this page https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/categories/fuel-cars.html, clicked on the Uber icon towards the bottom of the page, and followed the prompts from there. Surprisingly, I received a message at the end of the process to say the accounts were now linked and received a confirmation email from both Uber and Qantas.

As I mentioned before, I don't know whether they maybe fixed something in the background but didn't let me know, or whether the process just finally worked for me. Good luck, I hope you can get yours sorted out.

Has anyone been successful in the QFF points coming through?
Yes, the point posting seems to be quicker and more reliable than Jetstar 😛

Though the tiny number of points mean it is more of an academic exercise than anything you can use.

I had an Uber fare in Sydney have points apply even before I was on the plane. I had clicked through from the QF app and it launched the Uber app. I've since done a lot of Uber'ing in the US but directly from the Uber app, and no QF points have come for any of these.
