Anyone heading to ROK over the next few weeks with an interest in aircraft should book a window seat as three exercises kickoff for the military, the build up has already seen numerous 747 movements from QF and NZ while last week a wedge tail and MRTT were sighted, no doubt getting familiar with the airspace prior to the commencement of hostilities.

Having worked in ROK whilst a major exercise was on for 3 weeks this is good news for ROK.Every night the US officers would come back to their upmarket apartments-had several interesting chats.
Also came in quite handy when we had to transport a POS to Prince Charles Hospital-couldn't fit in a RFDS plane, road ambulance said he was above their weight limits for transport.Quick talk to the military and he was put in a military ambulance which proceeded to PCH atop a tank transporter-would have loved to see the faces in the PCH ED when they pulled up outside.
