I got a good fare in business on Qatar JAK - DOH - LHR.

I made a major mistake not booking a return fare mainly as the MEL QR office phone was out of order all day when I rang for advice on coming home via IST, I went ahead and booked o/w to get the last seat.

So, I'm holding a QF SYD - JAK return.

Now I'm really running out of time to orgainsed before I take off for the funeral.

I would really welcome any suggestions on getting back. Basically I want to go ...

LHR - IST - JAK.

I just don't know the best way around it. Any suggestions, anything at all plse?

Your best bet is going to be to pick up a cheap one way ticket from LHR-IST and then fly IST-CGK in business. From a very quick look, I can see that Emirates will get you IST-DXB-CGK for about $1600 on 24 April. I couldnt find anything with LHR-IST-CGK on the same ticket for less than 4k but I only had a VERY quick look.

I need to dep LHR around 02 May to IST.

I need to be back in CGK to p/u QF 42 at 2030 on 11 May.

IST-CGK is about AUD1500 in business on Emirates. 1700 on etihad and 1900 on turkish.

To get to istanbul Easyjet flies starting at GBP54 one way up to about GBP70 depending on the date you want.

Thanks for that, those are attractive prices for my purposes.
