The intertubes are all in a frenzy over the BA eStore double points this weekend. What's got everyone quivering with excitement is the 150 Avios per $US1 for signing up with Match.com.

Signing up with all options adds up to $US549 = 82,500 Avios

if my wife understands (important safety tip - ask for permission first!) then for me it's J HKG-LHR for $AU750 plus $50 taxes.

Details here:

WOW - British Airways Avios eStore double miles - earn 82,200 miles for $548.57 | MightyTravels

HT: everyone

As you noted this seems to be getting a fair bit of blog coverage.

Your HKG-LHR, is that exactly 82.5k? Before I get home and have a chance to look at the Avios calculator, what else does 82.5k?

It's 75k with British Airways business class and 90k with Cathay Pacific. 82.5k is equivalent to two return buisness flights from SGN-NRT. Can't complain about that.

Seems like the deal got pulled.

Lots of reports on FT that match and harmony accounts have been closed with no refund. Plenty of chargebacks coming I suspect.

Are they allowed to do that given that you paid for it and all.

I have no idea. I did notice that one or two of those that signed up may have been in breach of the terms and conditions.

Like most things in life if it seems to good to be true it probably is.

I can understand why so many people jumped on the deal. Cheap biz tickets
