I checked my wife's upgrade to Platinum table when my wife was on 970 status credits. I have a family of 4 flying return to Melbourne in July & this would have given her 160 status credits so no need to do a 30 status credit run for platinum. She was suppose to loose 20 status credits on the 15th Feb but I just found out the table doesn't include family pooled status credits which she lost as well totaling 80. Where it says she will loose 80 SC on 20th Feb it will actually be 320 SC.

A lesson learned but I think it is misleading.
Hopefully this will help someone else.
I will also send this to Velocity.

It's strange that the family pooling SCs aren't showing on the upgrade to Platinum table on your wife's account, you definitely need to check this out immediately with Velocity.

My husband pooled SCs to me from a Europe trip mid last year and they are all showing on that table, together with the appropriate expiry dates and the correct balance as each lot of SCs expires - and as far as I'm aware, this has always been the case with any SCs we've pooled to each other.

Seems Odd - I got to plat with some family pooling and OS travel.

After two years I not only renewed Platinum but with Family pooling also scored Companion Gold for the wife just recently.

Are you saying the wording on the table isn't completely clear? Perhaps VA need to put a little astrix with "this does not include expiring family pooled status credits" ??

Hi ledj,

I'd like to have a look into this for you. I'll just need her Velocity number. Would you mind asking your wife to email me at [email protected]?

Thanks.

I only read this reply yesterday so I emailed my wife's details straight away & received a more than positive response today.
Now that is service & that is why I have been loyal to Virgin Australia since day one. I have never received anything from qantas only high fares.
Velocity thanked us for pointing out the error.

Thank you Velocity for the upgrade to Platinum.

Thank you to the members who replied & requested I follow it up.
