hHs anyone had experience flying both of these ?
I've tried Skytrax and not a lot of detail on there to guide me.
Thanks !

What route and aircraft?
Like many carriers there are difference's especially long vs regional
Both are better than economy :)

Thanks for your reply.
I'm trying to compare the following ;

QATAR
Clark (philippines) to Doha on an A330-300
Doha - London on an A330-200

Emirates
Manila - Dubai - 777-300ER
Dubai - London - A380-800

Cheers.

Have you considered J class on Philippine Airlines, whose flight PR720 departs MNL five (early) mornings a week and unlike the others runs nonstop to London Heathrow? The aircraft is a Boeing 773ER, the youngest of the six being just a few months old.

It is seven across (2-3-2). I find the beds quite comfortable although they slope at the end as with many airlines' J class. Food is typically good to excellent, while the staff are quite good. Linen is used. Entertainment system does not offer as wide a range of music as other carriers. Punctuality was not great when the flights started last November but has now improved most days. Look online at Philippine Airlines :: Home but also visit the Skyscanner or Kayak sites.

I don't like the Middle Eastern airports (particularly DXB) so a direct flight with friendly Filipino staff is a big plus.

Thanks Melburnian.... I checked PAL out, but I would need to arrive and depart from Heathrow whereas I would prefer to depart from Rome.
Also, it's considerably more expensive that Qatar and Emirates.
