Just caught the back end of a News Flash on radio re a full Emergency J* landing at Bne airport not so long ago.

Does anyone have any details ??

ABC drive.

????

It was a hydraulic failure in one of three systems on JQ888 BNE-MKY shortly after takeoff. The captain turned around and the aircraft isn’t going anywhere. The news report I saw said JQ were trying to find an aircraft to get the pax on their way and if they couldn’t, their tickets could be refunded… only could, how useful!

Blah blah, they would be refunded if they decided not to travel on a JQ service, they wouldn't be refunded if they did travel on the JQ service or got placed on another carriers service.

Anyone got a link? I can't find a whiff of the story - v surprised not to see 'Qantas Group Jet In Horror Landing' on nonews!

Thanks Samh004.

That fills in the hole a bit.

The suits at QF must be getting mighty tired by now l recon.

I guess, it just seemed they were suggesting that if they couldn’t get them to their destination tonight that’d be it. Although they’re low cost, I’m sure they don’t need that PR nightmare after being reported on the news.

I saw it on the news on TV, it was breaking.

Hey danger... the link you provided may have been tampered with... please check.
