Without me trawling back through threads, I do know VA had a J sale in March last year and then again later in the year (Oct?) to counter the QF sale, but can anyone shed light onto the history of these sales? Have they appeared like that in previous years and would anyone care to take an educated guess at the likelihood of them happening again this March?

Don't know if this is of any help, but in May last year I got a very good J fare of just over $6K PER-SEA return (for this March/April) - I don't recall whether there was a J sale advertised at the time, but I assume a price like that must have been a sale fare?

This is precisely what I want to know.

Looking to book J to LAX in July, but not sure whether to move now or wait. Waiting is a bit fraught as they could go up... (just over $6K right now on the dates I want, which is about as low as it gets this far out).

But I did a dummy booking and on the outbound flight there are ZERO J seats allocated... So they must have some capacity to shift in any prospective sale.

Apologies to the OP for clogging the thread, but one more question - were they available for sale at the VA stall?

The expo is coming to Canberra on Sunday Feb 12. I might pop in to check if they're doing the same deal.

You can grab the flier at the VA stall, all bookings must be through Flight Centre onsite, during the expo

That was about the same time that I booked SYD>LAX>ATL>SCL return in J for $5900pp but I booked via Delta so I still get SCs and points.

Was interested to see the #MatesRates business class sale pop up today.

Sadly, only MEL - LAX on sale and a modest discount at best.

Last July, booked through FlightCentre BDB-BNE-LAX-LAS return for $4.5K. No official Virgin sale at the time, and didn't see it on Google Flights too.

Did you book through the Flight Centre website, or was it offered to you by an agent?

Well I just booked MEL > LAX in J for $4639.75 direct through VA.

For those on the hunt, there are good prices to be had ex Melbourne. PE pricing is also very competitive.
