dajop,
That's a long route for MEL-SIN.

My current plans.
03 JAN SYD T1 FCL 14:00-15:00 QF041 probably guest
08 JAN BKK FCL 15:00-17:00 QF002 probably guest
Likely to fly out of CGK and KUL between times with no lounge access :(

dajop,
That's a long route for MEL-SIN.

The MEL-SYD-CGK bit is virtually free, time being the main cost!

When I booked a oneworld award earlier in the year using QFF pts, my original plans was just SIN-JFK (on JL)-SIN(on CX), but that was a waste of four stopovers and 15,000 miles compared to what is allowed on the ticket! So I did/am doing KUL-JFK(stop)-SIN(stop)-MEL(stop)-CGK(stop)-SYD(stop)-SIN-KUL for the same number of QFF points, so effectively got two "side trips" to Australia (at Xmas, and the second at easter, both peak travel periods) for no extra points, but did have the cost of a few short connector fares, and extra travel time.
