Some interesting routing going on...SYD-OOL-NRT-KIX although for $550 per person return I might be tempted

As much as I want to visit Japan.... The thought of sitting in the back of an aircraft for that long means I'll have to use JAL J class to Europe and stop over on the way.

Cheap tix though!

Some nice fares available but approx. 15% more than the equivalent 2 for 1 sales that were going on the same time last year.

I priced SYD-xOOL-KIX return for $920 for 2 people. (same period last year was ~$800 when I booked for my GF and her sister).

Anyway, will be back in Japan in September so this fare, although good, won't be of much use for me.

same sort of dates were avail last Friday on the usual Friday fare frenzy for $360 return (ool-nrt) - cheapest Ive ever seen.

But as for the above sale was tempted with the 2-4-1 but had booked only weeks earlier for October ool-kix return @ $420 (sisters wedding in Osaka/Kobe so was pleased to book so far forward at such a great price).

Interestingly have noticed that ool return flights from NRT now fly via KIX, anyone know why this is so?... or just for the sale period?

(direct ool-nrt - return nrt-kix-ool)

I just saw this in my inbox. Went through to see what was available.. It had the dates I was interested in advertised as two for one so I clicked through with that but the total was still showing the price for 2 passengers. Did anyone have any success booking this fare and getting two for the price of one??

I didn't book it but got the 2 for 1 price late may by following the link from the jetstar website, which says that you can only get the 2 4 1 by clicking on the ad. Maybe the email link doesn't work?

I am actually quite tempted by the offer.

I already have booked redemption ticket SQ Y SYD-SIN-KIX and OZ C NRT-ICN-SYD for 2 pax at mid April. Whilst I can still move the dates to May to take advantage of the offer, just thinking of Jetstar potentially abandoning the passengers by plane problems brought myself to sanity .....

But yes, if they had the offer a lot earlier i would probably taken it.

Yes I managed to book for 2 pax yesterday afternoon via the link in the email. I placed the booking on hold using the "pay by direct payment" option as I still needed to finalise some things with my co-traveller but didn't want to wait before booking. I managed to get tix departing early Sept for 2 weeks MEL-OOL-NRT. It came to just over $1,100 all up including tax for 2 pax return! Very happy
