I was flying from Sapporo to Haneda on Japan airlines am oneworld emerald with qantas back in January with my sister
I asked if we can get an earlier flight
They happily moved us to earlier flight this meant waa not waiting around in the lounge for 2 hours . Instead just 1hr .
We were seated together on earlier flgiht . However they could seperate your seats due to how full plane is .
Also as oneworld emerald your bags come out as first class domestic beats. Business class to belt first
