I found an interesting quirk with the QF ASA where a PE ASA was going to cost me just under 120K in points.

I then had a look at the J class fares and it was just under 90K points.

I certainly know which I'd prefer to fly. Shame it's on the 747. Would have liked to try out the A380.

Between that flight and a PE ASA to LAX a c ouple of weeks earlier I now just need to work out how to get 90 more SCs to make silver. Am starting to regret not using another 30K points to go J class to LAX. Then I'd be hitting SC with just the 2 flights.

90,000pts for a JASA to...where? Seems very cheap for AU-LAX!?

I wish

It's for a SIN - SYD flight next October

Looks like I will get to try out the SQ A380 from LAX to NRT

No J class for that trip tho. I was tempted to try out Asiana J as it was < $2200 for LAX - ICN - KIX. Considering it's a 12 HR flight i think that's ana amazingly good price for J.

I've done AKL SYD LAX for 84000 points. J class.

You need to do your research, but they are there.

Tried a few dates in off peak periods via multi city but couldnt get that price. Please indulge me in how you can that fare!

I've just been looking SIN-LHR-SIN and found a few FASA for 154k each way! JASA was 300k each way! This is 12 months away though and appear on most days.

Guess it depends on the day and luck of the draw!
