I am regularly using the JQ service between AVV and SYD for a number of reasons, the largest being convenience. I leave AVV in the morning, no real need for a QP, and in the afternoon when leaving SYD, I have the small QP usually within 50M of my boarding gate.

Fine and dandy... :!:

All my flights are JETFLEX (Y) fares so I earn 20SC and 1000FF points for each flight, here's the catch...

I haven't seen a SC or a FF point from JQ since early Jan 09.

I have contacted QF in regards to this and was told that JQ were backlogged to Jan in redeeming points - the date from QF was the 23rd of Jan (as of Wednesday). I eagerly await the crediting of FF and SC's. I don't need them to retain status this year, but if this was October and I was 200 odd SC's short, I would be fuming about now!

Anyone else experiencing this?

munitalP,
I have one outstanding JQ Jetflex claim that I chased up online two weeks ago and nothing yet. I have not rung QF as yet.

Mr! I have heard that this is as a result of the new system being implemented.

Why am I not surprised about this,I'm still waiting for credit of sc's and points from 6 Jetstar flights taken in November, boarding passes etc have been forwarded and email follow up sent six weeks ago and numerous phone calls made,as yet the only answer I can get is that the BP's have "gone missing" and the points can't be credited till they are found.

You sent the BP's in???

A either send a photocopy, a fax of the photocopy, or indeed, email an image of the BPs. Never the BP's themselves ...

I am starting to get a little pee'd over this now. I was talking to a co-worker yesterday who mentioned all his MKY/BNE JQ flights were up to date and credited.

Anyone got a course of action here other than claiming for missing points on the QF website?

FWIW, I have 6 (120sc) flights owed to date with AVV/SYD tomorrow...

Mr!

I took JQ35 (SYD-MEL) on 14-Feb and the 0 SC/Points showed in my activity statement on 26-Feb.

I was asked specifically to send original BP's in and I did so via registered
mail, since then I have been advised that they were signed for on delivery but have apparently gone missing between the mail room and wherever they were supposed to end up at the Qantas FF service centre.
(I do have copies of them that I took prior to mailing, and indeed have been asked to fax these, which I have done, still without satisfaction)

Mr!

That is certainly very strange especially because your colleague is in the clear....

I have been flying JQ Flex every other week so far this year and the longest the points took to post was 3 days. They are definitely slower than QF (who post instantly - but have always posted eventually for me....

Maybe you are in a JQ black hole on their system ;):p

yeah, starting to think that Pauly, and ***shock horror*** I just realised, our corp travel agent is now Flight Centre and has been since 01.01.09 - I wonder if that is somehow infecting it..... ( ;) )

Flight Centre - absolute F Wits in my more than humble opinion...

Hmm; just checked on Qantas statement and exactly the same flight and posting date of zero points, we must have been on the same flight. ;)

I was told that JQ flights were going to take a ****load of time to credit due to the new systems at JQ - in some cases (and this is QF's word), anywhere between 1-2 months.

I needed some JQi SCs to be credited ASAP to make WP (see TR in relevant forum); QF managed to help me by having me send them scans of my BPs, then forwarding my original JQ itinerary. The alternative was to wait for 1-2 months, then the SCs would have been applied retrospectively.

Still, since your friend is in the clear (assumed on the same flights), seems a bit odd.

My Co Worker was on different flights than me, I was making the point ha had been flying JQ Y at the same sort of times as me - maybe I should move to MKY

I sent a coughpy email last week to QF with booking references etc for the outstanding flights - all but 2 were credited on Friday

My point is as the consumer, we shouldnt have to chase the supply for anything, it should be a seamless process, however, in the case of JQ/QF points, its far from seamless.

As previously mentioned, if I was looking for them SC's to get me over the line to speak, I would be fuming and to quote QF009, ready to read them the Riot Act!

I have learned a couple if important lessons here.

1. Keep JQ boarding passes
2. Ensure the JQ boarding passes reflect Y travel - they will have JETFLEX printed on the top
3. After a week is up, claim for the points over the QF website
4. Don't take the BS from QF in regards to the transfers.

I have it on good terms that the JQ system alots the recipients of SC and FF points to QF frequently (and once the new computer system is fully functional it will be instant) - e.g. every day. QF is the bottle neck in this process, not JQ or so it would seem.

Well I can announce that after nearly seven weeks of waiting, numerous emails and phone calls my claim for points for several flights taken on Jetstar last November finally appeared on my account on Friday.:)

I can understand if someone wanted their points/SC's in urgently because a) they were about to go to a new membership threshold or b) they needed the points to be an award booking or c) spend the points on something int eh shop but as long as you have the BP's you will always get the points eventually. Why get frustrated when you have no need other than making sure they get credited.

If there are significant delays currently I am about to find out as I am doing a SIN-BKK and a BKK-MEL with JQ this week.

I wonder is QFF status plays a part in processing points and SC's requests as I have never had major issues with either QF or JQ and for that matter 3K postings.
