Jets F&B Free last trip?1?!

HI Guys,

Just got back from Gold coast. On the way up slept the whole trip so skiped the service, however on return i was sitting in 1C and asked for a Beer, bottle of water and sandwich and wasnt asked for money. Then, towards the end of the flight a gentlemen in 1E woke up and asked for some food and when the cabin attendent asked for money the Cabin Manager said oh no he doesnt pay hes.....(couldnt quite here). Could it be he was Platinum QFF? I just got WP a couple weeks back and this is my first flight since.

Does Platinum get you free F&B on JQ? Or is it the upfront seats or something else?

Maybe it was "be nice" day at JQ.

Platinums get no gazetted benefits on JQ (beyond a few points related stuff), let alone to the tune of free service on board.

Not sure if they mixed up pax getting Plus bundles or something. (How much F&B are Plus passengers entitled to?)

I'd think that JQ wouldn't necessarily allow this to happen, what with auditing stock and revenues and all.....
