Hi

Just wondering if anyone received the $1 fare from jetstar. I received any e-mail from them if I "Book any return flight online at Jetstar.com between Monday 6th of December and midnight (AEDT) Monday 13th December 2010 where travel is completed between Monday 6th of December and Wednesday 22nd December 2010."

then I shall receive an e-mail in early January 2011 for the $1 fare.

Can someone confirmed if they got the offer or not?

Thanks

Yes received, but as I wouldn't normally book a flight with this carrier I guess I'll just have to miss out on the $1 fare from Newcastle to Wollongong on the third Sunday of the month.

Wouldn't bother unless I was planning to book a similar flight with QF of VB soon. IT's usually not worth the stuffing around. Great for the people that are thinking about those kind of flights already though!

Sorry, I can't help with December's promotion (they seem to come out quite regularly though, but I am not sure how they are targeted)... In fact, February's promotion email arrived today -

Jetstar Email said:
In April 2011, we will have thousands of $1 sale fares to selected Australian Jetstar destinations. Other incredible sale fares to selected Australian and International destinations will also be available in this exclusive sale. Please note that $1 fares will not be available to/from WA and NT.

You can gain access to the sale with these 3 easy steps.

Simply:

1. Book any return flight online at between Tuesday 1 February and midnight (AEDT) Sunday 20 February 2011 where return travel is completed between Tuesday 1 February and Thursday 31 March 2011.

2. Make sure you use the email address that you have used to register for JetMail (ie. the email address we have used to mail this email to you) in the booking process.

3. You will then receive an email with the exclusive sale link in April 2011. This will give you all the details and access to the $1 sale and other amazing sale fares to selected Australian and international destinations. Travel is for selected periods in 2011. Sale fares will be strictly limited. Be quick, so not to miss out!

It's that easy!

So book your next trip with Jetstar, and then keep an eye on your inbox this April for the access link and details for our special $1 promotion!
I can't provide a link to the current (Feb-April) promo, as it is targeted and has private identifiable data attached. (Anyway I assume that the current promo is only valid if your Jetmail account has been nominated.)

Unfortunately I won't be partaking in this offer, as most of my frequent Jetstar flying now needs to transition to Virgin Blue, to enable my Gold Velocity requalification (due to Qantas axing AnytimeAccess.) [Plus as others have noted the $1 fares are never at convenient times :(]

Interesting condition. So only the person eligible for the promo will receive access to the sale, and thus unless you're flying solo it appears this deal isn't toooo good.

Important Sale Information

If you book for more than one person only you will receive access to the sale. You must use your registered JetMail address (ie: this email address) in the booking process for a qualifying booking to gain sale access.

Have you called jetstar to ask when you'll get the email?

I tried to call them but the line always drop out...so just wondering if anyone here can forward me that e-mail.

If you have it, can you please forward it to me?

Thanks

They'd have to be bluffing, Navitaire isn't that smart is it?

I don't have it. I saw the offer but it seemed pointless so I never bothered. Sounds like you did bother to qualify and they haven't sent you the second email. I would have thought that was personalised. Hence suggesting to call jetstar.
