About 2-3 days ago in the Australian Newspaper there was an article about Jetstar flights to HNL from $199. I can't find it anywhere on the Jetstar website though.

Anyone know about this deal?

I was looking at JQ SYD-HNL pricing last week and some seats in March were at that price (you need to add the taxes, surcharges, etc, making the round trip around $550-$600).

Incidentally, the extras were still the same as last year ($98 outward), so I guess they didn't take any of the fuel surcharge off JQ international.

I've since punched in a few dummy dates and determined that the special lasts until about the end of August with variable availability.

When I spoke with Jetstar to confirm the travel dates they said that their system showed no availability for any of the $199 fares and that this was a glitch between the system they view and the public web site. She reported it to IT and suggested that I book ASAP - seemed to imply that the ongoing availability until August at that price was a mistake. hmmmm

...and now StarClass has been reduced to $999 for select dates.

Good point and SC earner for QFF members there

Sydney - coughet at $799 AI is a steal! Especially cosnidering Bali is the same price. Shame there's limited availability on dates.

240 SC and 15,000 points (base) return if I'm not mistaken. Personally, I would value the SCs and points at about $300-500 (with SG 1.5x points bonus). Makes the fare look even better.

Seriously tempting... Now to find cheap 5 star hotels! :)

As is MEL-BKK

Starclass Fares:

MEL-BKK $799 4546mi = Zone 5, 120 SCs
MEL-DPS $799 2719mi = Zone 4, 100 SCs
SYD-DPS $799 2871mi = Zone 4, 100 SCs
SYD-HNL $999 5066mi = Zone 6, 140 SCs
SYD-HKT $799 4510mi = Zone 5, 120 SCs

CNS-NRT $899 3638mi = Zone 4, 100 SCs
OOL-KIX $899 4467mi = Zone 4, 100 SCs
OOL-NRT $999 4479mi = Zone 4, 100 SCs
SYD-OOL-KIX $899 422mi = Zone 1, 40SCs + 4467mi = Zone 4, 120 SCs - although maybe same flight no through, so only 4889 mi = Zone 4, 120 SCs ?
SYD-OOL-NRT $999 422mi = Zone 1, 40SCs + 4479mi = Zone 4, 120 SCs

Note that these can generally combined with another segment in QF Business (as a single PNR), from certain cities.

$999 for 160 SCs is the best value, i.e. $6.24/SC
$799 for 120 SCs is the next best value $6.66/SC
