Just got an email from JQ with details of the new Jetstar Business Hub and Flexibiz Bundles. This is perfect timing given the changes at VA.

Details here: Business | Jetstar

[h=3]Fly like a boss with our new FlexiBiz bundle from $29^[/h]✔ Catch an earlier or later flight on the same day*
✔ No change fees for date, time and name changes**
✔ Cancel your flight and get a credit voucher~
✔ 7kg carry-on baggage PLUS an extra small item
✔ Select an upfront or standard seat*

I've not looked that deep into it but on the surface it actually looks pretty good!

Mods: Please merge/delete if duplicate, I did a search but couldn't see this posted.

Cheers,
Boof

Re: Jetstar Business - Flexibiz bundles

So compared to the existing Plus pack you get change flight on day and free cancellation for credit, but no points or vouchers, and only available thru the special business portal

Would have thought not getting points/SCs is a bit of a fail

Not sure how keen business travellers will be to fly JQ for 0 loyalty recognition - JQ is still a pariah for business travel for bigger firms but SMEs or contractors might take a look

Re: Jetstar Business - Flexibiz bundles

I can see SMEs being interested. Eg SWMBO's company...couple of flights a year to conferences. Nowhere near enough to bother with status. Good way to get a bit of flexibility on some cheap fares.

Jetstar offer Flexibiz bundle

I've just received an email from JQ about a new bundle for business customers. It's called Flexibiz.

Seems it has to be done through Jetstar Business Hub but it can be added to a starter fare and one of the perks may be attractive ... fly ahead as well as fly behind. There is also no fee for changes, fully cancelable (refund in the form of a credit voucher), extra HL piece and seat selection including Up Front seats.

No checked bags included, but for HLO flyers not into status, this may well make JQ cheapest fares pretty attractive.

$100 credit voucher on offer to the first 1000 businesses to sign up.

Re: Jetstar Business - Flexibiz bundles

The lack of SC's is a fail. I fly a lot of JQ as the times of QF and VA don't often match my schedules. Otherwise it's a winner but although I have registered I will pass until SC"s come in. It might be good once I have retained status for the year.

Pretty much my thoughts.
With no points or SC's not exactly appealing for those of us looking at maintaining Status.

Or even say a FlexBizPlus for $44/49

re: Jetstar "Business" traveller - Flexibiz bundles

I'm assuming this has been rushed out as a response to VA shafting the low fare clients by reducing (up to 1/2) the SC earn, ditching fly ahead and dropping free seat selection (unless status, which was their backflip).

Have a look at this. Although no SCs on offer it not only gives fly ahead, but also fly behind (which was always a bit of a bugbear with VA's perk) and they give included seat selection (including Up Front seats) along with the ability to cancel and change booking, fee free. Another bit not boldly advertised is the ability to hold a booking for 48 hours.

I'm guessing the reason no SCs have been offered is a realisation that many VA low end flyers may forgo status (as they may not earn enough SCs to maintain) so they are the target. Also I'd say they don't want to cannabalize too much either of the plus and max bundles (more lucrative), nor the QF low end flyers! I reckon this is firmly targeted at VA. It's like sticking the knife in and twisting. The extra hand luggage reads to me like you get 7kg plus an additional undefined weight for a second piece (possibly up to 7kg as well) so for me, this would nicely mean I don't need the checked baggage, which will make it quicker departing the airport (I carry around 10kg).

I created an account, and found this rather interesting tidbit in the profile section:

Interesting. Possibly to link back to systems used by TAs ??

re: Jetstar "Business" traveller - Flexibiz bundles

Have a flight booked on Monday with a FlexiBiz bundle (Booked through a TMC). Currently booked on a 2130 flight but depending on how my day goes I am endeavour to 'Fly-Ahead' onto the 7pm flight.

Interestingly when I look to change my booking through 'Manage My Booking' it tells me there are no seats available on any flights that day. Will be interested to see if they move me to the earlier flight on the day of travel if there are indeed seats free.

Please keep us informed. There'd be no point offering the bundle if they say it's not avialable when it is! You didn't mention airports, so have you looked to see if flights are still for sale?

Be interesting to see how much training the JQ staff have received. I'd be taking printouts of what the offer is

Its just a stock standard HBA-MEL on 19/9. Plenty of seats available looking on the website and through Serko.

The fare rules say that you can change on the day without charge through the website. If I have no luck there I will try the call centre as I will know by midday if I can take the earlier flight or not (waiting for some replacement tech to arrive by Star Track which is hit and miss in our area)

I received notification today that I was one of the first 1000 to sign up and hence receive the $100 bonus offer. Not yet sure if I'm that interested!
