Our old frequently delayed friend JQ43 is at it again, with the Wednesday 27 April 0915 hours departure from MEL put back until 1700 in the late afternoon. DPS arrival is suggested at 2100 rather than 1315. This may have some implications for a Thursday flight back to Oz depending on how close the allowed hotel crew layover times ('slip') sail to the mandatory regulatory wind, so to speak.
JQ44 is therefore expected to depart at 2215 rather than 1445 with MEL arrival anticipated at 0540 hours on Thursday 28 April rather than the usual (in this case) 2210 hours late evening Wednesday arrival.
With a quick check I could not see any resultant further cancellations but that may be a factor of websites not having yet been updated.
This far too frequent late running must be displeasing to holidaymakers to Bali who are an eclectic mix of the very upmarket, moneyed hotel and villa patrons to those who, to say it politely, are not quite in the same social class.
