As per OzBargain post.

I've just booked MEL-CNS-MEL over Australia day weekend x 2. $196 all in.

Edit: Bought a $200 voucher on paypal/cc and then redeemed straight away to avoid the crazy booking fees.

Booked for Mrs Ansett and I for Easter $180.00 :) Thank you for posting this hummel :)

Just looked on QF and exact same flights was $402.00 per person so $804.00 for Mrs Ansett and I or alternatively as a Classic award 57600 points and $161.00 in fuel fines for 2 passengers so this is bargain of the year :) Thanks Again Hummel :)

Thank you to OzBargain too :) When I looked this morning every date was available up until May 2015. It took me a little while to work out how not to pay the CC fees but worked out in the end.

Glad it was of help to others.

So did you purchase one $200 voucher and wear the $4 loss?

Look forward to your visits. Good places to eat without high restaurant prices are the fully revamped Pier bar and also the RSL. If going to Port Douglas (1hr from CNS) grab a bite at the Tin Shed.

Might invite Mrs Ansett and I to yours to enjoy the Bar lol. What is it like at Easter time in Cairns for restaurants and things in General as this is when we will be their.

I thought so. I was trying to look through the forum for how to avoid J* CC fees. Lets say your fare is $101 and you only have a $100 voucher you still have to pay surcharge fees if you pay that $! by CC.

Yeah.. just poli the other $1. Worth it to save the 8.50 and still earn some points on the cc

Yeah my bar and Q trolley are a treat, I'll stock up then :)

Easter is OK, even when flooded with tourists still plenty of room, even the recent G20 finance meeting here made little impact.

Virgin gift vouchers are the same.
