Hi Everyone, a complete newbie here.

I was just wondering if someone would be able to help me. I would like to fly on the new 787 Dreamliner and I'd like to catch a flight from Mel to the Gold Coast and here's the important bit, take the same Dreamliner flight back home again. So I'd literally get off the plane and jump back straight on. I would have both boarding passes with me when I leave Melbourne as I will check-in online. My question is therefore if Jetstar allows this, I really don't see a problem with me doing this. Has anyone done this or thought of flying straight in and back like the crew? :) Thanks for the help.

Mike

I believe I read somewhere the inaugural 787 flights on JQ are MEL-OOL-CNS... Melbourne to Gold Coast to Cairns
Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
(Edit: Re-Read my source, flights seen to be MEL-OOL return then MEL-CNS return)

In theory though, while it may look abit suss normally, I don't think it would too much of a concern really :) I've had Boarding Passes for BNE-SYD return within 6 hours and had no questions ask... Difference though with you and under an hour if you were to do it...

You'll find many members here though would have done what your proposing anyway because of Status Runs, just maybe on different eTickets... Maybe....

Thanks for the help, in theory nothing should happen, I have my boarding pass printed for both flights at home, I arrive, am airside and just wait for them to call boarding and then surprise the crew! :)

Exactly! No issue whatsoever doing this.
