So it leaves at 7am and arrives at 8:50am, yet it only takes 20 minutes. Hmmmmmm????

Yep noticed it one several routes.

It only benefits customers though, as all their addons extras are calculated based on flying time, so you'll find that many of the options are cheaper.

QF IT has the same sort of issues - I regualrly find BNE-MEL noted as 3hr 25m and MEL-BNE noted as 1h 10min. Funny thing but the BIS timings suggest an hour less for the former and an hour more for the latter.

Emailed QF who replied rudely that they know about daylight saving....

It's an issue year in year out. Look at 581/582, 3:45 to Sydney in rocket time!

PER-SYD in 3:45 sounds right. I've done it in 3:00.

For whatever reason I had 5 hours stuck in my head. I guess 3:45 is the bonus of doing it in the 747 (Yes I am now aware its 5:00 on the way back)
