I had no issues with the 2-for-1 sale last year.

The issues popped up when trying to get the Itinerary sent.

Same as you guys link does not work and now web page down, got through on the phone to book November Syd or Melbourne - Hnl but they said sale was for February only...still cannot get in, they drive me crazy

Finally got in.

I priced a SYD-HNL for 2, $1200 or $1300 or so if I wanted points Chose neither as travel dates are Feb-March 2013.

The only place I got to look at before the web site locked up was MEL-AKL-MEL and I have just booked cheaper flights on Virgin :!:

Mel-HBA booked for October no problems except sale seats had sold out before I got to payment page, changed times then all OK.

I booked 4 people MEL-DPS-MEL for October, fully paid and received email itinerary (which usually seems to take 24hrs so this was unusually quick), with luggage ended up at $440 return pp which is pretty good. Unfortunately still need to buy one ticket as there are 5 of us travelling, unless someone on here is heading that way!?

Out of interest, what happens if the second person doesn't travel? Ie. I need to book this one extra ticket but if I book it with the second person free for a free seat and then they don't travel, can I do that so I have more space?

I also find it annoying on the booking engine that you can't separate which passengers have plus bundles attached to their ticket. Everything else can be broken down per passenger, why not this.

To add to this, interestingly the route MEL-DPS wasn't even listed, but when I did a normal search it came up with the "Friend flies free" fares which were the normal quoted fares. It all priced correctly with 2 people free. Jetstar's IT systems must be useless!

I haven't been able to find anything in the T's & C's not allowing travel if one person doesn't travel so might just buy and extra seat to have the empty one next to me!

Those are your options. Been that way since they relaunched with the bundle system.

The Plus bundle gives a discounted earn rate while the Max bundle gives a full earn rate, which wouldn't work with business class having only one earn rate.




I jumped on the site at ~6pm and had no delays at all? Booked 2 return trips, plenty of availability to several other places which I had to forego due to holiday restrictions.
