That's almost a "normal" departure time in DRW.

I asume you get booked through without re-check requirement in MNL. That connection time suggests it's the same a/c going through to NRT (or maybe "JQ Japan" meeeting JQ in MNL perhaps?)

MNL isnt a great transit airport....
 
Yuck. What weird times on the way up. Leave in the middle of the night, get woken up a few hours later, then get dumped in Tokyo in the middle of the day.

The OOL and CNS departures (and arrivals) are much more civilised (and on an A330).

Is this service marketed towards the Japanese visiting Australia? Its such an awkward way to travel!
