So JQ are having a sale as per email today. Mel > Hnl is advertised as from 598 return, yet on using the link to search not a single fare comes at that price !! In any combination!!!

How is that possible?

I could find the return fare but that was showing as take a friend for free???? None of the flights to Hawaii were at the special rate of $499????

Agree...there is something funny here.

I tried searching for return flights for whole of nov and dec. cheapest were 1200. That includes the friend for free rate!!

Me is wondering if Jetstar has stuffed up the sale ticket prices. Their marketing team has not had their IT team update their prices lists....... would hate to think of false advertising.

Wonder if we will see this sale "extended" in the next couple of days............

just poke to JQ call centre...as usual they have no idea what is going on and said "the sale seats outbound may have sold out as they are limited". Limited to 2 seats probably :)

She then proceeded to give me a total price of $1900 return from MEL...yet I can still get the $1200 price online at the moment.

absolutely hopeless...

What dates were the friend for free promotion applicable for?

i'm trained to ignore any JQ sales ex-AU these days, absolute rubbish.

jetstar asia is another story, tiger and air asia keep them honest.

Jetstar seems to have a pretty decent sale on at the moment, for two travel periods next year, the first beginning 15 January.
