I am after SC like everyone here hehe... and i plan to go to SIN from HKG with Jetstar only to get SC (40) but i have checked on their schedule and the arrival in SIN is 2:50PM and departure of the latest Jetstar flight is 3:50PM. I will fly only with cabin luggage and i would like to know if i will get enough time to get out and pick my boarding pass ?

Sounds like it may be cutting it a little fine, do you have a single itinerary for your entire journey or separate bookings?

Check in closes 40minutes before your flight departs so you may struggle if there is any kind of delay on your incoming flight...

I got the answer because when i try to book the flight they said i must leave 3hours minimum between arrive and departure. Thank you.
If you have any idea to get 40SC easily from HKG...i open to all advices

Ah I understand now, if you're traveling HKG-SIN-HKG then it should be doable if you make two separate bookings.

But 1 hour probably won't be enough. I wouldn't do it.

have you thought to do a 2 stop run - HKG - SIN - KUL - or some variation of this? I would not do an hour

Good idea, i will try but not sure JQ will go there... I wanted to buy a J ticket on CX but quite expensive for 80SC i think.

Jetstar has quite a few destinations from SIN, so there are many possibilities.

Still, as efficient as SIN airport is, I wouldn't have 2 separate bookings with just 1 hour for the transfer - not even for a full serviced airline.

I don't know... I think I'd be game to try this given SIN efficiency heres my thinking:

-3k to 3k transfer so no chance of having to change terminal
-Chance that the return leg is on the same metal so even if delayed the next segment would also be delayed
-Plus fare has no charges for date changes
-OLCI on both legs

Having been burnt by two short connections on last trip 1.15 in SIN and 1 HR in ORD, I will not risk any shorter than 1.5 hrs domestic (if checked luggage) or 1hr with carry on and 2 hours for international.

completely missed connection in SIN and lost bag for 28 hrs after ORD

Key with your connection if it is not the same metal for return and you miss you are stuck o/n

With OLCI, no checked baggage and no delays it is possible, but I wouldn't try it without self-insuring and being prepared to buy another ticket or stay overnight.

There's your answer. If you're willing to take the risk (and have an overnight'er) then by all means go for the quick turnaround. FWIW its probably the same metal that you'll be flying anyway, so my money is on that the plane you arrived in, will be the plane you depart with.

Just as an example, I have often transferred from QF77 to 3K513 which is 1hr 45mins.
I usually find that I would have been able to make the connection in as little as 30 to 40 minutes if necessary, and get about an hour of lounge time.
But I wouldn’t depend on it and I always have a plan B just in case.
