I'm not sure if this is a new thing, but I have noticed that Jetstar now allows you to book Starclass on its domestic BNE-SYD JQ18 service departing from the international terminal. Is this a new thing, or something that has been up for a while? It's something worth having a look at. It's only $239 each way, $10 more expensive than JetFlex. :p

Not bad for a SC run... $239 for 40 SC, right, vs $229 for 20 SC.

Shame it gets in at 11:00am, which is just too late to connect to the 11:20 Norfolk Air SYD-MEL. :(

On what days does the Norfolk Air SYD-MEL fly? I can't find any flights. Do you get any points or SCs for flying them? :)

Friday only. See this thread here. Repositioning flight on the way from Norfolk Island to MEL.

No SCs or points, as there is no codeshare. On the upside, if you have WP status, you can visit the First Class lounge at SYD international.

Just had a look at the Jet* website.

JQ18 - BNE-SYD (08:55-10:30)

But there does not seem to be a return flight available on J* from SYD to BNE in StarClass.

I wonder if JQ 18 is a repositioning flight??

I was originally going to Osaka in from Sydney via Brisbane on JQ18 in December. They put me on a direct flight recentlyand made a big song and dance about calling andhaving me confirm the change of flights to a direct on (big apologies lol). Does it depart from the intl terminal of SYdney?

Why would you bother ?? You may get a meat pie for a meal !!!
If you are a WP you get to use the International First class lounges in SYD and MEL.

Also, as straightman posted, there's some "inexpensive" SC's to be had.

For the week beginning 8th Oct, I can only see (on the Jetstar.com website):

SYD-MEL
JQ1 on Monday 8th Oct (13:15PM)

MEL-SYD
JQ30 on Tuesday 9th Oct (10:15AM)

Where would I be able to see the extra flights that you have posted?

Thanks

I think they've only just started selling Starclass seats for these flights. I was looking for flights for a trip to SYD next year, needless to say it was a nice surprise :D

Interesting price...i don't see why anyone would go jetflex for $10 less than starclass. I'm not complaining though ;) I'd take SC's, priority boarding and QP access for $10 any day of the week...

i doubt you'd even get a meal, or any of the other starclass packs you get with JQi services.

I think if you bought a starclass seat on a dom service, thats exactly what you'd get. the seat, and nothing else.

i have very little logic to base that on...:p ...except for the fact that it'd be a lot to get for $10 extra, and it's not like jetstar to be generous.

econgdon,

As pointed out earlier in the topic it is a cheap way of accumulating SC's :!:

Sorry for being ignorant but what are SC's and Wp's ??? I've only just started thinking about using my points etc as I have accumulated around a million of them and think they will go !!
