Hi guys,

Just after a bit of info on the JQ * Class seating.

It looks a bit from the photos on the website that they're probably somewhere between a QF Y+ and Skybed in terms of comfort, room, etc. Does that sound about right? Bigger and better recline than a QF Y+ seat? Easier to sleep in, but obviously not as good as a skybed?

Cheers!
Mat.

It's more like Qantas domestic J. Especially like the Qantas A330-200 domestic 2-3-2 configuration. Except that the seats are leather. If someone in front reclines there's not too much space! Seat 2D excepted.

it is the same as DOM J class...i remember one of the A332 being shipped from QF to JQ and all they did was redo the seats as there wasnt any IFE.

Yes, completely identical to QF domestic J. Also second the comment about 2D - it is far and away the best seat in Starclass, as there is no 1D - so you can stretch out as far as you like! I've just done a JQ flight HNL-SYD in 2D and it's certainly the best choice. Failing that, seats in Row 1 would be my second preference (but beware the bassinet brigade!)

Concur with what's been written. We had the 2 centre Row 1 seats recently, Row 1 being 2-2-2 versus 2-3-2 for the rest of the *class cabin, and they were fine (bassinets on each set of side seats, but as there were AFFers in those seats as well it was fine (though we're known to act like babies sometimes. :p)

Row 1 unavailable for the return, had 2AB, which was adequate - the recline didn't bother me but may do so for people with long legs.
