An account review now says plat yr starts 13 Aug. But I still have 2.5 months til the anniversary since my first sc with VA.

So anything I accrue with VA from now until 1st Nov will go towards my future requal, but the sc counter continues ticking over until 1st Nov??

eg if you have 1000sc then another 10sc accrued before 1st Nov your account now shows 1010sc. But the 10sc goes towards the future member year accrual right?
ALL sc's will be wiped say Nov 1st?? So if I accrue another 40sc on VA between now and 1st Nov then after 1st Nov my sc reading should be 40 + 10sc = 50sc?? And I can go by the 13 Aug as being the usual anniversary year?

Hope its clear but just checking to see if I've got this right. Most of my VA renewal for 2016-17 will come from EY over the next 12 months and maybe a bit of stealing..... I mean pooling from the +1 along with the 8 eligible sectors I need to fly myself so I'm a bit weary of too many accruals to VA and looking at accruing with SQ where sensible.

If you have just achieved Platinum and your new review date is August 13th then your November anniversary is now irrelevant. Any status credits earned after August 13th will count toward your requalification in your current qualifying period which commenced on August 14th and runs through until August next year. This is one of the lesser benefits of velocity when moving up the status ladder is that your anniversary year resets to the achieved date of each new level.

1st nov will see all the previous sc wiped prior to 13 august and just leave behind the post 13 aug?

On your Velocity My Account page about half way down the page in the middle you should have a section headed Maintain Platinum. A sub heading under this should be your Review Date followed by Status Credits earned since your review date. Unless I am misunderstanding something this should read 13 August 2016 followed by any SC's you have earned since then starting from zero. In the top right corner, in the red square, under your name and points balance is your 12 month rolling total of SC's earned. This one increases by any SC's you earn and decreases by any thing earned 365 days previous.
If your 1 November anniversary date is the one next to your 'Member since' then just ignore it as it is no longer relevant. If I have read this correctly then you will not reset or wipe any SC's until your next review in August 2017.

Crystal clear - thanks! I was using the top right as the bean counter but now will use the one down the page as am only after requal.
That clarifies some other issues for me.
