It pretty hard not to be impressed by this hotel, especially when you check in at 1AM with a tour party and there are staff everywhere to assist, and the little things are always nice, like the mint tea cool drink while waiting to check in and a refreshing towel.

I am here as part of the inaugural Qantas Emirates partnership tour thanks to Qantas, they announced Friday that the JW was selected as its staff hotel for those traveling to Dubai, making it the second time Qantas have chosen what was at the time the worlds tallest hotel as a staff hotel, the first being the Westin in Singapore.

I am not sure what style of room I have as it was booked by Qantas, but I am on the 49th floor and its very nice!

Lucky you!
I looooooove that bathroom especially the shower.
There aren't many rooms on each floor.

The hotels photo shots seem to have had a retouch:

The sail like building to the right of the two hotel towers is not as quite finished as the photo would suggest:

Given the amount of building in Dubai, waiting for that perfect time to get a photo without cranes etc would be impossible!

Breakfast options! As already mentioned you have the option of breakfast in the lounge or downstairs, while the lounge has a good range of options, more so than most lounges I have been in, the restaurant is another story all together. It has 6 chef stations that provide a multitude of dining options for around $30 a person, the food was really top quality.

I had the dim sum and it was as good as any I had in Asia, while the Eggs Benedict was tasty with the turkey bacon!
