Hi All,

I have a few days in Orlando next May to entertain myself.

I want to go to the Kennedy Space Centre – with a special emphasis on the Apollo Programme.

My question is, can you go to the Saturn V Centre first, then do any ground based tours within KSC that are available, before heading back to the main Visitor Centre/Area and finishing off there, before heading home late in the PM ?

I have asked the KSC folk this, but am having trouble getting a sensible answer out of them.

Thanks if anyone can help out…………… :)

It was a few years back when I went but basically you were free to spend the time wherever you liked...but you had to be bussed between the Rocket bit, the launch tower and the main Visitor centre museum part.
Buses come and go every 15 - 20 mins, lines are possible as well.

I got there at opening, went to the rocket bit and launch tower and spent the rest of the day in the main museum till closing.

It does take a long time to see/read everything...and I think there is more there about the shuttle now.

I'm thinking to do this next year, but have made no investigations at all yet. So if I can bludge off any info and tips, I'd be grateful ! :)

It's a great place to visit. As the visitor centre is the central hub for all tours etc, I can't see why this wouldn't be possible.

We took the kids a few years ago. Excellent trip. There are red and blue bus routes. Too long ago for me to remember.

What you want is definitely possible. But it will be a very long day.

We were there early this year and suggest you to book the tour first (2/day if not mistaken?) if you really want to do the tour and work you way around the facility. It's a big facility and you'll have to take the bus from one to the other (generally there is a queue for the bus).
