Hi,

I booked a krisflyer award with Krisflyer going SYD - BKK - MUC - TLV. Departing on the 19th of May

Thai Airways cancelled the BKK - MUC sector and put us on the flight the next day meaning we would miss the MUC - TLV flight.

Krisflyer only advised us 2 weeks after the change. The call centre are only putting us on wait list for a Singapore Airlines flight. Does anyone know how I can solve the situation or has anyone been in a similar situation?

Thanks

Is it economy or business class? Is the ticket the one ticket all the way to TLV? UA is showing economy availability SYD-ICN-IST-TLV and also options via PEK/FRA or PEK/MUC or BKK/VIE... This May or may not be available via krisflyer. To see what united is showing in terms of star alliance a awards, simply go to united.com, type I the cities and select award travel. You don't need to be a member. It might not give the answer, but may help you point the call centre in the right direction ....i'd be asking if they could do an SQ connection via IST first of all...

It's business class. It's all solved now :). They got us on Singapore airlines to Zurich in business.

The whole process wasn't great. It took them 2 weeks to tell us about the flight change and then 1 week of us calling them so we could get a valid itinerary.

Pretty much every time we said it's not acceptable for them to put us on a waiting list and they must tell us if they can get us a flight or not. It's a forced change so shouldn't have to do with award inventory. They would call us back everyday saying they are working on it. However an hour after I posted the thread they decided to release the business seats for us :).
