Krisflyer Gold booking Qatar flights through VA

Just a question. I am KrisFlyer gold. I am booking a flight to Europe using Virgin Australia. The options provided are Qatar airways through the VA booking system. Will I be given any of the Gold Perks when flying with Qatar through my Kris flyer gold status?

Is there a better way to do this and receive the perks while being Krisflyer gold and flying with Qatar?

I don't believe QR and SQ has a partnership of any sort. The QR/VA partnership iirc is restricted to VA status and not the status of any of VA's existing partners.
