Krisflyer points to fly Air New Zealand - no seats

Hi everyone,

I have Krisflyer points, I'd like to use them to book a return economy ticket for my sister-in-law from Perth to Auckland. I want to bring her over with her 3 month old son (who I would pay for - infant fare) as a surprise for my wife.

Unfortunately, talking to customer service at Krisflyer, there are no economy seats available until mid-November.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any advice or pointers as to if there is any other way to redeem the points on Air New Zealand?

Use the ANA tool to find availability. You might have to redeem in Business.

Not sure how lap infant fares are paid for using Krisflyer miles. QANTAS only charge for taxes for infant fares (in conjunction with an adult award).
