Hi everyone

First post here. Hope it is in the right place!

In January I flew Continental(codeshare United,I booked on the United Website) FCO to EWR and flew back to Europe on United ORD to LHR. When booking all of the flights, I used my Krisflyer number when booking the tickets. My FF number also was on both my boarding passes when i flew, so I assumed I would get credited.

However when I checked my frequent flyer account upon returning, I had only gotten points for ORD-LHR. Not FCO-EWR, which I had assumed wouldn't be a problem because Continental is also in the star alliance.

I then made a retroactive mileage claim, however I had thrown my boarding pass away because I had assumed I wouldn't need it because my FF number had been on it. I then received a response from KrisFlyer saying they couldn't give me the points because they had no record of me being on that flight.

I think responded to them on via their website but haven't heard anything. Is there anything I can do? Or should I just give up?

Thanks in Advance!

Technically they are entitled to see the boarding passes so that they know you boarded. Do you have your eticket and booking itineraries which shown you KF number? Perhaps you can try and use them as justification. ie if you received miles for ORD-LHR then ipso facto you must have completed the first part of that journey for your ticket to have been valid.

Did you happen to do online checkin? Perhaps your boarding passes are pdf on your computer.

Good luck in your search, keep us updated with progress.

Good luck.

I had an itinerary from KLM with booking reference, e-ticket number and both boarding passes and it took me months to get the flight credited by DL Skymiles. They wanted to see the e-ticket which I clearly did not receive from KLM but surely the boarding passes were proof enough I took the flight.

I think you need to get in touch with Continental to give you some sort of proof that you were on the flight and then go back to KrisFlyer with the relevant details.
